I am Wendy, a Desperate and Forgiven Follower of Jesus, Pilot Wife, Busy Mama of 4, DIYer, Enthusiastic Organizer, New England Farmhouse Loving, Military Spouse, Girl Next Door who loves to sing and dance my way along as I try to submit to the overwhelming love of God in loving others and nurturing a life that reflects the future Kingdom of God breaking into my present reality. I have walked through the highest highs and the lowest lows with Christ holding my reluctant hand every step of the messy way. I’m more than a survivor. It’s a beautiful, messy, nitty, gritty, grace-filled life.
It’s been a while since I wrote anything of substance. My college days have long since faded into the last decade of marriage, military life, and parenting but I’m learning and growing and my thoughts and musings on life, love, marriage, parenting, Jesus, and the Kingdom of God are often itching to get out of my head these days. My words are far from perfect but they are mine in the moment, within the context of my limited perspective, so give me some grace if you choose to join me along my “Grit n Grace Life” journey.
I am also a lover of organization and problem solving and creating things that allow for less friction in every day life and contribute to the beauty that surrounds us, both outdoors and in the home. My projects over the years have included re-finishing furniture, command centers, shelves, personalized decor, gifts, crafts, sewing, crocheting, and woodworking. I’ve found my projects tend to fluctuate with the seasons but I hope to share some of them as I find pockets of time in my Grit ‘n Grace Life.
